Center for Comfort Care, Inc. (CCC) is dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through person-centered planning. Overview

Center for Comfort Care, Inc. is devoted to providing high-quality, individualized support that reflects the needs, interests, and choices of individuals we serve. Our services are rooted in person-centered planning and strengthened by active involvement from participants, their families, and natural supports. We encourage community inclusion, social engagement, and skill development so that every individual can fully participate in their community. CCC provides services both at home and in the community, with a holistic focus on developing the mind and body and promoting overall well-being. Above all, we respect, protect, and advocate for the rights and choices of all individuals we support.

Community Support Waiver Services

The Community Support waiver Services program delivers individualized, person-centered supports tailored to the unique needs, goals, and preferences of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Our approach promotes independence, inclusion, and meaningful engagement in everyday community life.

At Center for Comfort Care, Inc., participants are treated with dignity and respect from the very first point of contact. Their choices, goals, preferences, and interests are highly valued and guide every aspect of service delivery. Participants actively determine their personal goals, preferred activities, community outings, and areas of interest.

 

Individuals supported by CCC, Inc. retain all legal rights and responsibilities guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution and federal and state laws. These rights include, but are not limited to:

  • The right to prompt and appropriate medical treatment

Our Team

 

Program Director

 

Our Program Director provides overall leadership and oversight of agency operations, ensuring compliance with Maryland DDA regulations and person-centered practices. The Program Director supervises management staff, oversees quality assurance, budgeting, staff development, policy implementation, and regulatory compliance while promoting high-quality services, participant satisfaction, health, safety, and continuous organizational improvement.

 
Program Manager

 

Program Manager oversees person-centered services, supervises Direct Support Professionals, ensures compliance with Maryland DDA regulations, monitors participant health and safety, reviews documentation, coordinates with families and service providers, manages incidents, supports quality assurance initiatives, and promotes positive outcomes that enhance each participant's independence, dignity, and quality of life.

 

 
Direct Support 

 

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities by assisting with daily living activities, community integration, personal care, medication support (as authorized), and implementation of Person-Centered Plan (PCP) goals. DSPs promote independence, ensure participants' health and safety, maintain accurate documentation, report incidents, and provide compassionate, respectful care that upholds each individual's dignity and choice.
